Necklace - Tanzanite - reticulation/granulation

As if the tanzanite wasn't enough (look at that color!)  - this necklace features a centerpiece of reticulated and granulated sterling.  It is a thing to behold and pass down to new generations that will not be able to buy this stunning stone from Tanzania.

The inspiration was the night sky in Kenya when I saw the milky way in all its glory for the first time.

All frames and wires are Argentium silver (.935), which provides delayed response to oxidation (tarnishing) and additional protection against sensitivity to sterling (.925) by replacing some of the copper in sterling with more pure silver and germanium.

The necklace length is about 19 inches with the center triangle and drop about 2 inches.  Total Tanzanite weight is 10+ carats.
